How to eat a steak

There is this restaurant called Manny's in Minneapolis.  It is a pretty famous local spot that has seen Presidents, athletes, movie stars, and all sorts of greedy people the world over.  I believe they have the BIGGEST portions of any restaurant in the world.  They had this one entree, "the Bludgeon of Beef"!  It is a 60+ ounce steak, that if you finish, you can get your picture on the wall.  You know I love a good challenge.  I stepped up to the table, ordered my BLUDGEON, and proceeded to devour it all down to the bone!  Check out how a true glutton rolls in the before or after photos.  Of course the next morning I jogged for 2 hours to work that out my system.  If you ever visit the Twin Cities, make sure you stop by Manny's and get one of the finest steaks you will ever have in your life.

Childrens Museum of Pittsburgh 25th Birthday Gala

Tina and Beth represented lovely at the Childrens Museum 25th Birthday celebration.  Don't they look wonderful in their beautiful dresses?

The night was a spectacular mix of upscale glamour featuring the best in philanthropy.  The gala was hosted by Anne Lewis and Art & Greta Rooney and featured the most fabulous socialites in Western, PA.  The museum has shined a bright light on the region and has inspired the imagination of the region's kids for the past 25 years.

We are looking forward to the next 25 and beyond.  The institution is truly world class and a rich cultural institution that makes Pittsburgh one of the world's greatest cities.  Happy 25th Birthday!!!  http://www.pittsburghkids.org

Game 2 in Baltimore

I never get sick of how we roll. I'm chilling in Angelos' suite
watching Pirates battle in B-More. Hopefully Buccos can pull out a win
tonight in beautiful Charm City.

To think, I used to hate Angelos because he kept DC from getting a
team for years. Now that we have the Nationals and he let me in his
private box, all is forgiven.

Our Krazy Weekend in the Hospital

Life is too precious for words.  After a long week traveling to Phoenix, Chicago, and NYC on business, I returned on Saturday and had a true family ordeal.  My lil man, Godot, or as we call him, Doey, broke his arm playing at the neighbors house on their monkey bars.  I was about to fire up the grill when I heard him scream like I never have before.  His poor little arm was gruesomely bent and we immediately knew we had to rush him to the hospital.

Below are some photos from the ordeal.  The Doctor managed to reset the Radial bone, the larger of the two in his forearm, but the smaller bone required SURGERY!  We were shocked that a broken arm would require that.  Needless to say, we were SHOOK.

The little guy was the picture of courage.  He was far braver than I would have been.  He went into surgery Sunday morning and was in a sleepy state when he emerged later with a blue cast up to his shoulder.  He is a lefty, so his pitching arm should heal stronger than ever.  We prayed hard, and are glad our prayers were answered.  What a loooong weekend spent worrying ourselves to death couped up in a small hotel room.  I am worn out, but ecstatic that my little guy is back in action.  As I said earlier, Life is too precious!!!

Hulkamaniac!!!

NYC is out of control. We are probably the only people excited for the
movie, but we are a Hulk loving family. My son even named our dog the
Incredible Hulk.

We are hyped for the movie. These billboards are all over the city.

Sad that the Penguins lost. But getting amped for NBA finals and
football season

This picture was from last season. Godot is sad because he is in a
Steeler jersey. The youngin' is a die hard Skins fan. Both are my
favorite teams but Doey is Redskins to the core.

Phoenix is hot to death!!!

In Phoenix on business and the resort is fabulous I love how bamas
here say "its a dry heat". When its 110 degrees does it really matter?
I am sweating like I ran away from a plantation and all I really did
was walk to grab a mojito from the poolside bar.

Hopefully when we come back for All Star weekend in February 2009 it
will be as beautiful.
